Lots to love at this authentic German pub. I had fun and devoured my dinner of beef, red cabbage and dumplings. Mostly locals. Prices what i expected. Though #2 of my pub meals in Kopenick - well worth a visit!

Our lunch here was great. We wanted a true german experience and that’s what we had. Food is homemade and prepared with care and the ambience is filled with history. While waiting for the food we enjoyed the different historical things present in the restaurant. Price are what we expected, beers are very good.

Lovely traditional place... with good foid and cheap drinks. A place to be for a real feeling of Köpenick and the Hauptmann (captain) story.

Absolutely amazing place with local German food, best we've visited in 1.5 years of living in Berlin. Super cozy, owners cook themselves and are extremely friendly, especially there were to our kid. Gave him paper and markers to draw :) As advertised on their menu, food really feels like by grandmothers. They serve real fried potatoes, not the mainstream fries, for example. "Copper" beer was amazing as well. Must visit if you are in Altstadt Köpenick.

This place is as German as it can get. Very traditional look and very good German food. The staff is also as German as you can imagine. Good mix of Deutsche Schnauze and friendliness. Even though it looks more like a bar, the food is very good. Just be patient for the preparation, it's worth it. Also a little more on the expensive side.

Lovely yet slightly eccentric little pub / restaurant. Excellent authentic German food at decent prices, would definitely recommend. Took one star off as they refused to serve tap water, which is typical of Berlin restaurants for some reason.
